Dental treatment in Turkey typically costs roughly 60–80% less than the same work in the United States. A single premium implant that runs $4,000–$6,000 at many US practices sits at £500–900 in Istanbul — and full-arch solutions that approach $25,000–$35,000 per arch in the US can come in at £4,000–9,000 here. The savings come from far lower operating costs, not from lower clinical standards. That said, the gap is large enough that it genuinely pays to look beyond the headline price before you book.

Turkish vs US Dental Prices in 2026

US dental fees vary widely by state, city, and individual practice — there's no single national price list. The figures below show typical US ranges alongside indicative, all-inclusive prices at Bergedent in Istanbul. Treat both columns as estimates: your actual cost depends on your clinical needs, the materials chosen, and how many visits are required.

Indicative dental prices: Turkey (£) vs United States ($), 2026. Figures are estimates, not quotes.
TreatmentTurkey (indicative, £)US (typical, $)
Single dental implant (premium brand)£500–900$4,000–6,000
All-on-4 (per arch, all-inclusive)£4,000–6,500$20,000–26,000
All-on-6 (per arch, all-inclusive)£6,000–9,000$28,000–36,000
Full-mouth implant rehabilitation£8,000–15,000$40,000–60,000
E.max porcelain veneer£250–280/tooth$1,000–2,500/tooth
Hollywood smile (from 10 veneers)from £2,500$15,000–25,000

Prices are indicative and shown in pounds (£) as the primary currency for our largely UK and EU patient base; US visitors should convert at the current rate. A personalised treatment plan is the only way to arrive at an accurate figure for your situation.

Why Is Treatment Cheaper in Turkey — Not Lower Quality?

The price difference is driven by economics, not by cutting corners. Clinic rent, staff salaries, laboratory fees, and the absence of US-style malpractice insurance premiums are all dramatically lower in Turkey. The implant systems and ceramics we use can be the very same global brands — Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Dentsply, E.max and zirconia restorations — you'd find in a well-equipped US practice. The materials and the documented clinical principles behind implants and veneers don't change with geography.

What does change is regulation and recourse. A reputable Istanbul clinic should hold recognised accreditation — Bergedent is TEMOS-accredited for international patient care, with clinics in Vadistanbul and Atakoy and 35+ years of experience. Independent quality marks matter more when you're travelling, because you can't simply drop back in for a follow-up.

Quality and Longevity: What the Evidence Says

Lower price should never mean lower expectations for durability. A 20-year meta-analysis published in PubMed Central shows high long-term survival rates for dental implants — though outcomes depend on bone quality, oral hygiene, and avoiding smoking. Porcelain veneers also perform well over time; a survival review in PubMed Central reports strong multi-year retention, with the honest caveat that veneers can chip or debond and may eventually need replacement. The American Dental Association is clear that implant success relies on adequate bone and good general health — the same candidacy rules apply whether you're treated in Dallas or Istanbul.

What a US Patient Should Compare Besides Price

A genuine cost comparison has to include the things that don't appear on a fee chart:

  • Candidacy. Implants are not suitable for everyone. Uncontrolled diabetes, heavy smoking, active gum disease, or insufficient bone can affect outcomes and may require grafting first.
  • Travel and time. Most full-arch cases need two trips — placement, then the final prosthesis after healing. Factor in flights, hotel nights, and time off work when you're totalling the cost.
  • Aftercare and warranty. Ask specifically how complications or adjustments are handled once you're home, and what any implant guarantee actually covers in practice.
  • Records and continuity. The NHS treatment-abroad checklist recommends getting full written treatment notes and confirming follow-up arrangements before you travel — sound advice for US patients just as much as UK ones.

How the Process Works

You can start with a remote assessment — share recent X-rays or photos and our clinical team will review your case and outline an indicative plan and price, usually within a day. There's no obligation, and the figure is refined properly after an in-person examination. You can read more about why patients choose Istanbul on our why Turkey page, or review the full price list.
